adults are hard to fathom

there are countless amount of tradition to follow;
countless cultures to adopt just so fengshui or whatever said so.
but shouldnt the happiness & joy of the wedding couple be more important than these?
what if in the midst of following all these tradition or cultures lead to neverending arguments?
is that still worth following?

nobody can say for sure following these cultures/tradition will definitely ensure a happily ever after ending, yet almost all adults will still insist to follow accordingly.

take for example confirming the number of attendees.
friends & colleagues are the easiest, we can just get their confirmation directly.
whereas for relatives, we have to rely on our parents to take the initiative to ask our relatives.
not just so, close relatives we have to distribute wedding invite 1 by 1 to their doorstep.
why? because culture set this rule we have to follow.
as for those not so close relatives, i got a scolding when i demand my parents to call & ask for confirmation on attendees.
mom said, "its rude to call people and ask how many people is attending?"
yes, mom think its rude to call & seek confirmation.
but she isnt aware of the difficulties i'll face when confirming with hotel on the no. of tables.
i cant possibly tell the hotel prepare around 25-27 tables.
they need a confirmed number & probably 1 reserved for last min. thats all.

thinking that doing the betrothal exchange is already difficult enough,
planning of table arrangement is the 2nd challenge, i guess i was wrong to say so.
suddenly the planning of actual day timeline is the most challenging.
we have to stick to the auspicious time range as given by fortune teller;
make sure we have at least 6hrs in between for videographer to edit the morning highlights,
plus finish both side tea ceremony, change attire (only for bride) plus an outdoor shoot.
imagine the horror to know our given auspicious time range is either 5-9am or 11-3pm.
5-9am, we will incur extra surcharge for photo&videographer + MUA;
11-3pm, our videographer will not  have enough time for editting.
its like a headache worse than table arrangement & betrothal exchange.
sometimes i just hope if ur not gonna lend us any helping hand, at least dont create any.
its frustrating enough having to cope with these & yet i have to cope with extra trouble.
dont u just wish for a parents who put their kids' well being as priority?
how i wish for a parents who would tell me, "go ahead, both of u do the planning & we'll follow. whichever works fine for the both of you. "

upon reading bout these back end stories, are u now afraid of getting married?
well, i just hope this will be e very last obstacle for us.
no more please, no more. if not i swear im gonna breakdown like real soon.
